Best Scooter I have ever owned
John Sayre (Whispering Pines, NC) 10/10/2009 10:17 AM
My Roketa MC54-250B is by far the best scooter I have ever owned. I am a college instructor and drive it daily.I am now at 1500 miles on this daily driver with no major problems at all. I was worried about buying a dropship scooter after reading all the negative comments online. I did follow some very important recommendations though. Do a commplete PDI . Get some good brand name tires as mine were out of round out of the box. Everything has run great. Did a valve adjustment at 500 miles and the Roketa has pulled fast and smooth all the way to 70. What I really like about this scooter is the weight. It is heavy enough to not get blown over in a fairly heavy wind, unlike my Vespa 200cc which is all over the place. Another great thing is that my wife and I can go two up with little or no power lose. It rides two just as well as one. She loves the raised rear seat. Best of all , I am averaging 70 mpg. What a show stopper. I get super comments on it everywhere I go. It truely breaks the stereotype of scooters just putting along getting in the way and going slow. All in all, great scooter and excellent help and response from Mr. Scooters.

My experience at 1000 miles: Fantastic transaction, fantastic product
Andrew (Lufkin, TX) 5/5/2009 5:25 PM
I ordered this bike in March of 09. I had it delivered in under a week with the papers arriving (expedited) only a couple days later. There was some trouble with the shipping; the bike had extensive cosmetic damage as a result of the frame that the bike was packed in bending. The people at Mr. Scooters were VERY helpful throughout the process, and as of today I have received the replacement body panels per their warranty support and will be installing them this weekend. As for the performance of the bike, I find that it is sufficient for the highways in Texas (many of which are rated at 70mph). I have been using it dually as a primary commuter for my daily ~80 mile roundtrip drive to work. Around 30 miles (total) of that drive is spent on a road with a posted speed limit of 70mph. Generally there is no need to run that fast, and I'll usually stay somewhere between 60-65, but if I need to push it up to 70 or higher for a short time it will do it without issue (and it has no trouble with hills). Don't rely on the speedometer alone, as all of the scooters I have owned (also, this is my second Roketa) have had unreliable speedometers. However, I have verified the capabilities of the bike using a GPS unit. I had to perform a valve adjustment around 1000 miles. The carburetor has needed little tweaking. The tires are in great shape. The foam air filter needs to be oiled at the very least early on, or simply replaced with something of higher quality. The fuel filter glue on the original chinese fuel filter dissolved quickly on my previous Roketa, so I replaced this one very early on. There have been no issues, only regular maintenance (the valve adjustment should be expected). The caliber of support is extraordinary. They always responded to my phone calls and e-mails, and in-fact, my very first call to place the order went unanswered--they returned my call to pursue my business. Overall, I find the service and price at MrScooters to be EXCELLENT.

Good scooter at a nice price

My transaction was flawless from begining to end. The Bike arrived in one week as promised. I got my 2nd. color choice. I had a minor issue with the lamp switch. I E-mailed Mr. Scooter and a replacement switch was sent to me. Great service. The bike runs great with plenty of power. Overall I've no regrets and very satisfied. Thanks!

Great value! Fantastic dealer!
Jason (Greer, SC) 1/24/2009 3:20 PM
I have 3800 miles on this bike and have loved every mile. Even though I had an issue with the carb diaphragm getting torn, Mike got a replacement carb under warranty out to me in a flash. Do the prep work others have mentioned and keep it maintained and your MC-54-250B will get you around with style. Make sure you check the tire pressure as it will likely be too high out of the crate. Set it per the manual not the rated max pressure. This scoot will max out at about 70 real mph and does a great job at it. I wouldn't want to go much faster on it than that. lol Good quality tires improve the ride a lot! One annoyance is the fact that the spark plug access panel is on the wrong side for this motor. In the NON "B" model the panel is perfect... but the motor in this "B" model bike has the plug on the opposite side of the motor. Just makes plug change a pain. Two thumbs up... five stars... this is a great value and a fun ride. Order from MrScooters.com! ~Jason HydroHybrids.Net <See my 41mpg turbo sports car

Awesome Value and Responsive Dealer
Kenneth Beller (Richland, WA) 10/21/2008 3:28 PM
I received the bike in less than a week after payment was received. Exactly as described though not my first choice color. Well crated though the crate is a bit long and some truckers have trouble moving it around. The crate is longer than a trailer is wide. It was a bit humorous and unnerving to watch it get unloaded. It took a bit of delicate manuevering to get the bike out of the crate. Mine arrived without the gas cap -- not sure why, but Mr Scooters was great at sending a replacement. I found it best to either phone [often busy] or submit a question via mrscooters website. I'm enjoying my scooter. The unit moves very fast and I'm a bit on the heavy side - 350lbs. The speedometer has read 80 mph and judging by the traffic [on the interstate] I'm going approximately 72 mph. I suspect the speedometer is calibrated for 12 inch wheels. The scooter gets up to 55 mph fairly quickly but requires some skill merging on high speed on ramps. It takes some time to get to 70 mph. The same type of bike sells from the local dealers for at least 50% more. When you consider the features, it represents a great value.
